The project
Improving an architect's scheme from the inside out.
At St George's Chapel, SMT Associates revised the original architect's scheme, improving the internal layout and enabling an additional apartment within the building.
The revised proposals were secured through a Section 73 approval, and planning conditions were discharged to keep the project moving.
Appropriate details for a historic building
Alongside the planning work, we developed appropriate construction details for the building, including Bath stone repairs, internal lining details and historic-roof repair details, so that the consented scheme could be built well and sympathetically.
