Making an inherited consent buildable.
SMT Associates reviewed an inherited consent for three detached houses at Trewarmett and improved both the layouts and the appearance of the scheme through a Section 73 application.
Resolving the constraints
The site presented real practical difficulties: awkward groundworks and the constraints of a trunk water main crossing the site. SMT resolved both, coordinated the Building Regulations submissions and managed delivery of the development.
Trewarmett illustrates why construction knowledge matters in planning work; the improvements secured on paper were shaped throughout by an understanding of what could actually be built on the site.
